RESPONSIBILITIES
| • | | Measure/mark cutting lines on materials, using ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge. |
| • | | Follow safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment. |
| • | | Verify trueness of structure, using plumb bob and level. |
| • | | Shape/cut materials to specified measurements, using hand tools, machines, power saw. |
| • | | Calculating the number of fasteners required for each job |
| • | | Study specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required |
| • | | Selecting lumber by size and strength to suit each job, sourcing wood to suit the customer’s budget and style
Liaising with clients, suppliers and other construction professionals |
